narrative
writing a good narrative is like a box of chocolates- actually it isn't cause chocolate is actually good...
to write a good narrative you have to capture the third person point of view perfectly where you can give the reader an image they can put themselves into. painting a picture for the reader to jump into will tie the story together, no matter the topic. a good setting and developed characters will allow a reader to connect the story with an aspect of their own life. although writing a narrative isn't the best way to express personal feelings and emotions in a character, it can be done of the correct vocabulary is used.
Narrative ideas:
life story
challenge they had to overcome
family member or friend they lost

character with a secret
Character With a Secret
Winston stood alone, a look of anxiety in his eyes; He looked as if he had the weight of the world on his shoulders.
“Hey bro, how are you?” asked Mike, a short man covered in tattoos with plugs in his ears.
“Oh hey what’s up? I don’t know man, not much…well actually, can I show you something?” Winston inquired cautiously.
“Of course, you can show me anything.”
Winston pulled something out of his pocket, hidden in the shadows. He handed it to Mike.
“The Scarlet Letter!?” Mike urgently questioned. “Where did you get this? It was supposed to have been lost in the fire!”
“Keep it down!” Hushed Winston, “ We don’t want to let the whole room know.”
Mike and Winston walked out of the room and away from the party in Winston’s Mansion as inconspicuous as they could manage.
“We have to hide this, it’s not safe to have,” Snapped Mike.
Mike and Winston talked in hushed voices for what seemed like hours, debating what to do with the scarlet letter. They knew it was a dangerous situation just being in possession of it, but they also knew that with it, they held extreme leverage. It held proof of a scandal involving a high-ranking political figure; it was invaluable.
“You can’t tell anyone I have this until we have a plan,” Winston urged.
“I swear to god I wont-“
“SWEAR TO ME!!!” Winston yelled in a gruff voice, “ My life depends on this being a secret, no one can know!”
“Hey listen, you can trust me through anything to have your back, don’t worry.” Mike said with a tone of confidence imbued.
Mike and Winston got into their car. Thoughts ran through his head. Things other friends had said, cautioning him to trust no one; suddenly, he knew what to do… Mike stashed the letter into the glove box with one hand, pulling out a pistol with the other. Mike turned his head towards the drivers’ side, where Winston was glancing in the mirrors looking for any followers. Mike slowly raised the pistol.
“I’m sorry…”
The silenced crack of the pistol rang inside the car, alerting no one. Mike grabbed the letter, pulling out his lighter. With a malevolent look in his eyes, the scarlet letter went up in flames, ending the drama and the danger forever.
